Development Guide

Unless approved by the Director of Development Services or otherwise exempted in the Subdivision Ordinance, the following steps must be completed in order to receive a building permit:

  1. Pre-application Conference

    Applicants must meet with Development Services Staff prior to submittal of a preliminary plat.

  2. Platting

    Any time the owner/developer intends to plat, subdivide, or resubdivide land within the corporate city limits or the extraterritorial jurisdiction, a plat must be filed with the City of Victoria.

  3. Site Plans

    Site plans are required for any new commercial, industrial, other non-residential, multiple family, townhouse, or manufactured home park development.
