Congratulations to the first place winners of the Victoria Fire Department’s 2020 Fire Prevention Poster Contest. This year’s theme was "Serve Up Fire Safety in the Kitchen" Special thanks to the contest sponsors, including Victoria Fire and Safety, Citgo Petroleum Corporation and Rosewood Funeral Chapel. In a fire, seconds count. Seconds can mean the difference between residents of our community escaping safely from a fire or having their lives end in tragedy. That’s why this year’s Fire Prevention Week theme: "Serve Up Fire Safety in the Kitchen" is so important.  "Be Ready for the Unexpected, Especially while cooking" reinforces why everyone needs to be aware of their surroundings at all time.
