City extends Bootfest application period, payment deadlines

The City of Victoria is extending the deadline for Bootfest food and merchandise vendor applications to April 20. Vendors who are selected will be notified via email on April 30.

At this time, all City of Victoria facilities are closed to the public to comply with current physical distancing recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the White House and the Victoria County Public Health Department. Anyone who wishes to apply for a Bootfest 2020 vendor space may do so by filling out the online form at www.bootfest.org/get-involved/vendors, emailing a scan of a printed application or mailing a physical copy.

In recognition of the struggles that vendors may be experiencing during the COVID-19 situation, the City has scheduled a longer period for selected vendors to submit payments. The payment deadline for vendor spaces will be May 29, and the deadline to cancel and receive a full refund will be Aug. 3.

Bootfest 2020 remains scheduled for October 2-3 in downtown Victoria.

“We believe that this year’s festival can take on an even more special role than past events in bringing our community together,” said Joel Novosad, Victoria Convention & Visitors Bureau director. “We look forward to a day when the virus is eliminated and we can get back to our daily lives, enjoying all the events, family attractions and retail shopping Victoria has to offer.”

The above dates are subject to change depending on recommendations from federal, state, county and city leadership. Vendors who have already applied or are interested in applying may call 361-485-3117 or email jnovosad@victoriatx.org.
